Ohio’s TechCred Program helps businesses strengthen their workforce by offering reimbursement for short-term, technology-focused training.
These industry-recognized credentials help current and future employees build in-demand skills that align with today’s economy.Â
Eligible employers may receive up to $1,000 per employee, per credential—with up to $30,000 available per application period.
Eligible Ohio employers can use TechCred to help train current or prospective employees. To qualify for reimbursement, credential earners must meet Ohio’s current residency and W-2 employment requirements.
TechCred is available to eligible Ohio employers of all sizes and industries with a physical, non-residential business location in Ohio and qualifying Ohio W-2 employees.
TechCred makes it easy for employers to upskill their teams. Here’s how the process works:
Identify Your Training Needs – Determine which technology skills your workforce needs.
Select an Eligible Credential – Choose an approved technology-focused credential that aligns with those needs.
Apply for TechCred – Submit your employer application during an open application period.
Receive Approval & Complete Training – Once approved, employees complete the eligible credential training.
Earn the Credential – Employees successfully complete the program and receive the approved credential.
Request Reimbursement – Get up to $1,000 per employee for eligible programs.
